摘要

•Four SNPs in SMAD1 gene promoter and three SNPs in SMAD5 promoter were identified.•Haplotype analyses of the SNPs in SMAD1/5 gene promoter were conducted.•We analyzed the effect of diplotypes on growth and beef quality traits in cattle.•SMAD1/5 gene expression were detected in cattle muscle tissues of different months.
