麻黄为麻黄科植物麻黄的干燥草质茎,具有发散风寒、宣肺平喘、利水消肿的功效.对麻黄的化学成分及现代药理作用进行了综述,发现麻黄主要化学成分有生物碱、黄酮、挥发油、有机酸、氨基酸、多糖和鞣质等,具有解热发汗、利尿、平喘、免疫抑制、抗氧化及抗病毒等作用.
