王清任是清代著名的中医学大家,学术上他注重实践,勇于创新,创立瘀血学说,并创制了许多活血化瘀方剂,其活血化瘀理论和方剂被广泛运用于临床各科,他以40余年的临床心得与实践研究,著成《医林改错》.本文从王清任所处时代背景、生平及其研究人体脏腑的方式等来浅谈其活血化瘀理论的提出;从《医林改错》看活血化瘀理论的运用和现代运用及其前景.
