Abstract
A responsibility judgment of harmonic sources to loads in power systems is necessary for establishing economic reward and punishment mechanisms. Existing harmonic responsibility quantification methods mainly analyze the responsibility distribution between the user side and the grid side at the point of common coupling (PCC). The contributions of harmonic sources to each bus and branch cannot be quantified in power networks. This paper proposes a harmonic responsibility apportion method that can quantitatively analyze responsibility shares of harmonic sources in the whole power network. The current tracing principle is applied to establish the harmonic responsibility apportion model that represents the influence degree of harmonic sources. The harmonic current data of the entire network is substituted into the apportion model to obtain responsibility shares of harmonic sources at each bus and branch. The contribution of filters on harmonic suppression is analyzed based on the apportion model. Case studies on an IEEE 9-bus system are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the method.
