Assessment of harmonic problems for different loads in vietnam and proposing solutions

Besides, the article provides a better understanding of the current harmonic problem in Viet Nam in recent years through the measurement results, survey and analysis for typical loads. Guiding circulars as well as harmonic index requirements in grid code will be covered in this article. The methods of handling harmonics are introduced. Base on Vietnamese standard of acceptable harmonic pollution, a new type of harmonic passive filter, multifunctional, not avaitable in Viet Nam, is proposed and its effect is evaluated through the actual installation, measurement and testing. The equipmen testing results showed that the harmonics index meets specified. This will be an important step forward in dealing with the highly complex in Viet Nam. Revised: 16/4/2021
