Wireless charging using NFC technology

The NFC wireless charging technology is a new extension of the NFC technology developed and present on the market since the end of 2018. This technology allows devices to be charged in the same way as with Qi, another wireless charging technology widely available on the market since 2014. This article presents an overview of how this new technology operates (design, power class, efficiency) and can be complementary to Qi, by targeting the charging of small devices such as wireless headsets, smart bands or smart glasses.
