Catalytic Reactors for Dehydrogenation of Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers

摘要
State of the art in the field of the development of catalytic reactors for dehydrogenation of liquid organic hydrogen carriers is analyzed. Rapid and complete dehydrogenation and the possibility of repeated use of the carrier can be ensured by intensifying the heat exchange and reducing the dehydrogenation temperature; these factors should be taken into account in choosing the reactor design. Examples of using reactors with fixed, suspended, and monolithic catalysts, membrane reactors, reactors operating in the reactant vaporization/condensation modes, etc., and also universal reactors for hydrogenation/dehydrogenation of liquid organic hydrogen carriers are considered. A comparative analysis of the advantages and drawbacks of various reactor systems is made.
