The Effect of a Geriatric Simulation-enhanced Interprofessional Education on Health Profession Students

•It is urgent to prepare future health care providers to care for adults with Alzheimer's Disease.•There is a need to evaluate geriatric interprofessional education delivered over multiple weeks.•All groups showed a decrease in scores of perceived challenges of interprofessional collaboration.•Positive valuation of active learning supports integration of multiple learning approaches in IPE.
