Secure and Resilient SoCs for Autonomous Vehicles

Embedded systems-on-chip (SoCs) that are targeted to power autonomous vehicles of the future must meet stringent power, real-time performance, reliability, security and safety criteria in order to qualify for deployment in the field. General purpose processor cores, supported by carefully selected accelerators are needed to meet the power-performance requirements. Such heterogeneity at the hardware processing level immediately points to challenges in userlevel programmability. In this paper, we present our solution strategy, and we present an updated results summary achieved after the first two phases of DARPA’s DSSoC (Domain-Specific System-on-Chip)
