Abstract
The results of studying the possibility of using a position-sensitive detector with a 100 × 100 mm 10 B active layer to record thermal and fast neutrons are presented. The operation of the detector is explored using a tungsten-beryllium photoneutron source at the Institute for Nuclear Research, Russian Academy of Sciences. The low efficiency of the detector enables it to be used at high neutron fluxes. Measurements are carried out with different ratios of thermal and fast neutrons at the source output. The possibility of separating events from thermal and fast neutrons is shown.
