Low temperature sintering of PLZST-based antiferroelectric ceramics with Al2O3 addition for energy storage applications

摘要
•0.8 wt % Al2O3 was added to PLZST-based AFE ceramics to lower the sintering temperature from 1300 ℃ to 1040 ℃.•An analysis of the EDAX patterns and the phase diagram proves that the eutectic is made up of Pb and Al oxides.•PLSZST-0.8 wt % Al2O3 ceramic has a recoverable energy density of 3.23 J/cm3 and an efficiency of 90 % at room temperature.•PLSZST-0.8 wt % Al2O3 ceramic is high in discharge energy density (2.45 J/cm3), current density (1369 A/cm2).
