Abstract
Evaluation of the biological effects is a key technology in improvement of efficiency of ultrasound-assisted DDS. However, the mechanism of bubble cavitation is too complex to correlate biological effects with cavitation signals. Previously, we have proposed a method of measuring bubble cavitation applying an image-reconstruction technique of back-propagation of an acoustic cavitation emission signal. In this study, the observation method was applied to a phantom experiment using floating cells. In addition, we compared the observation result and the quantitative biological effects of bubble cavitation obtained by counting stained cells.
