摘要
•A novel PEG-SnS2/rGO composite is prepared as anode material for SIBs.•The interlayer spacing of SnS2 layers is enlarged to 0.92 nm due to the insertion of PEG.•SnS2 nanoparticles are uniformly grown on graphene skeleton by CS covalent binding.•The expanded layer spacing and strong affinity promotes reaction kinetics and capacitive contribution.•Excellent rate performance with a high capacity of 720 mAh g−1 at 5 A g−1 is delivered.
