Abstract
The Tsunami's natural disaster causes severe impacts such as significant loss of life and massive property damage in the coastal areas. Modeling tsunami hazards is one of the preparedness and mitigation measures to promote tsunami safety. However, there are several issues in tsunami hazards modeling for the development of hazard mitigation strategies. This paper systematically reviews various Tsunami hazard model, which focuses on (1) identifying the effectiveness of the model in conveying the information for the policymakers and society, (2) identifying the constraints of the models if applied in other areas. This study also proposes a model, which is assumed to improve tsunami hazards modeling in disaster mitigation. We will build, test, and implement the model in the future.
