Reduction of PMEPR in Multicarrier Signals Using CBC Approach

Employing the multitone waveforms for radar applications has attracted many authors in recent days. Several authors have investigated the use of multitone waveform and challenges associated while implementation. The only significant drawback of using multitone waveforms is the high PMEPR values recorded. This paper focuses on reducing PMEPR by employing complementary block coding (CBC) method. The ambiguity function, absolute complex envelopes and autocorrelations of the multitone signal are attained from the above-stated method and analyzed by carrying extensive simulation. The proposed technique has shown significant reduction in PMEPR.
