Monotonicity correction for second order element finite volume methods of anisotropic diffusion problems
Journal of Computational Physics(2022)
Abstract
•The monotone correction is applied to second order element FVMs.•The corrected schemes have positivity-preserving.•The corrected schemes maintain the convergence order of the original schemes.•This is the first monotone high-order finite volume methods.•For unsteady problem, monotone correction of time term is also given.
