摘要
•Long-term AFO and FES users with stroke fall more than Non-users with stroke.•AFO and FES users have decreased trunk movement control following a trip.•AFO and FES users have reduced capability to take a paretic compensatory step.•While AFO/FES devices prevent trips, they do not assist recovery once a trip occurs.•Future interventions should target improving trunk control and paretic stepping.
