Abstract
Systems and methods of scheduling UL and DL D2D transmissions are generally described. The nUE determines whether a subframe is DL or UL, and schedules PRAs based on the amount of URLLC, non-URLLC, new retransmission UL and DL data and the number of UEs associated with each data type. URLLC data is prioritized and allocations within the same data type distributed evenly; consecutive subframes for a UE are of opposite types if URLLC UL and DL data exists for the UE, and multiple UEs associated with the same data type are allocated evenly if a sufficient amount of PRAs exist. If the PRAs are insufficient to serve the UEs, a credit-based mechanism is used whereby UEs with a greater amount of credit are served first. When multiple PRAs are assigned to the same UE, a single HARQ retransmission is scheduled either for each PRA or for all of the PRAs.
