Role Of Alpha-Cluster Transfer In The Formation Of Ne-20+O-16 Cross-Sections At Backward Angles

The experimental angular distributions for Ne-20 + O-16 elastic transfer are reanalyzed using different forms of both phenomenological and semi-microscopic potentials. The significant increase in the cross-sections at the backward hemisphere, due to the contribution of alpha-cluster transfer, is investigated using the distorted wave Born approximation (DWBA) method. The spectroscopic amplitude (SA) for the configuration Ne-20 -> O-16 + alpha at the different concerned energies is extracted. The agreement between the experimental data and theoretical calculations using the two approaches is reasonably good.
