Tunnel magnetoresistance detection of skyrmions

•Skyrmions can be detected through dynamical tunnel magnetoresistance.•The skyrmion core direction can be detected by a perpendicularly magnetized detector.•The chirality can be detected using a synthetic antiferromagnet detector.•Room temperature tunnel magnetoresistance detection is feasible.
