Wave dispersion and quantitative accuracy analysis of bond-based peridynamic models with different attenuation functions

A novel quartic polynomial attenuation function was proposed and various types of functions were investigated. Furthermore, attenuation bond-based peridynamic (ABPD) models were established for wave dispersion and quantitative accuracy analysis. The various expressions for non-constant micromodulus functions were determined and the shapes of them in the ABPD models for 1D conditions is illustrated in Fig. 1. The dispersion relationship of ABPD was derived and dispersion curves of normalized angular frequency and wave number for different ABPD models are illustrated in Fig. 2. The attenuation function plays an important role in dispersion properties and calculation accuracy of peridynamics.
