Abstract
•A novel PCM composite was prepared based on the nature polymer CMCS via a green and facile method.•The porous structure of composites was achieved via the crosslinking of metal ions with CMCS.•The inherent three-dimensional pores could prevent PCM from leaking.•The MOFs decorated PCM composite would offer potential to study the mechanism of synergistic action between MOFs and PCM.•The maximum thermal enthalpy of the composites could reach 90 J/g after high temperature treatment.
