Electrochemistry of chitosan amino-glycan and BSA protein mixture under seawater conditions

•CPS catalytic peak of BSA protein and CHOS amino-glycan under seawater conditions.•CHOS and BSA produce AdT CPS catalytic peak in acidic and neutral buffers.•BSA and CHOS are involved in adsorption and AdT CPS peak in their mixture.•Further studies are required for the selective detection of CHOS in the mixture.•Basic electrochemical properties of CHOS and BSA are presented.
