Two-Dimensional Cugase2@Znse-Nc Heterostructures For Enhanced Sodium Ion Storage

Sodium ion batteries (SIBs) are regarded as a promising alternative to lithium ion batteries, while their application is hindered by the lack of good anode materials. Integrating morphology, structure, and ingredient modulation in one material is rather desired for developing the candidates. Herein, the MOF-coated CuGaSe2@ZnSe-NC heterostructure with a two-dimensional sheet morphology has been successfully synthesized and further been utilized as an anode material for SIBs. Benefitting from high conductivity due to the carbon coating derived from MOF and the built-in electric field in CuGaSe2@ZnSe-NC heterostructure as well as the short diffusion pathway due to the two-dimensional morphology, CuGaSe2@ZnSe-NC shows a stable capacity of 276 mAh g(-1) over 2000 cycles at a high current density of 2.0 A g(-1).
