Solvent emissions control in large scale chemical absorption CO2 capture plant

•Aerosol emissions and vapor emissions of 2 million tons per year CO2 capture plant were evaluated respectively.•A fitting formula for aerosol emission is proposed.•Three control methods were compared on the premise of water balance.•Drain-off water of the water wash is good for the emission control in dry bed.
