Analytischer Berechnungsansatz Zur Mindesteinschraubtiefe Von Schraubenverbindungen Mit Gefurchtem Gewindeanalytical Approach For The Minimum Depths Of Engagement For Bolted Joints With Formed Female Threads

The quasi-static strength of bolted joints with formed female thread depends on the size of the pre-drilled pilot hole, which determines the resulting thread overlapping. In order to estimate the minimum depth of engagement pull-out tests with varied depth of engagement and thread overlapping will be carried out. Based on the existing calculation approach by the VDI guideline 2230 (Verein Deutsche Ingenieure) for standard connections with cut threads an analytical evaluation method will be developed for screw connections with formed threads considering the influence of the overlapping thread resulting from the forming process.
