Abstract
•Village population size is often difficult to determine for prehistoric societies.•Multiple methods are used to estimate the number of storage pits and houses.•Multiple estimates of population size range from 100 - 180 inhabitants.•Converging multiple estimates provide a better estimate than any single one.•This approach is useful when traditional measures are not available.
