Preparation Of Cu(Ii)-Containing Mof Catalyst And Application In The Alpha, Beta-Dehydrogenation Of Saturated Ketones

A 0D Cu(II)-containing metal organic framework (MOF) catalyst has been developed to promote alpha, beta-dehydrogenation of saturated ketones in the yield of 70 %-90 % at mild conditions without extra organic ligand. The single crystal data of the Cu-MOF catalyst shows the 0D structure based on the typical dinuclear paddle-wheel shaped, comprising of a Cu(II) center and four activated N atoms (including two N-methyl-pyrrolidone and two pyridine) which can activate the hydrogen atom of the saturated ketones. The Cu(II)-containing MOF catalyst also exhibited satisfactory stability in the non-proton polar solvent and could be reused for more than five times without any significant loss of activity.
