摘要
•Dynamic tensile/compressive properties of granite coarse aggregate characterised.•Significant rate dependence for both tensile and compressive response ; greater sensitivity for tension.•DIFs for tensile and compressive strengths determined; compressive DIF follows the CEB-FIP equation, but tensile DIF deviates from it.•JH-2 model parameters determined; FEM simulation using the model yields good correlation with experiments.
