摘要
•3D void configurations in PET are characterized with CT for the first time.•Different spallation mechanisms are revealed for different impact velocities.•Hugoniot equation of state is obtained for the first time (up to 2.4 GPa).•The refractive index and relative density at shock states follow a linear relation.•Spall strength and corresponding tensile rate are measured for PET.
