Designing And Manufacturing Of Low Cost Fully Lab Made Electrospinning Nanofibers System

In this research, a fully lab made and low-cost electrospinning nanofibers are designed and manufactured. Different operation parameters are studied and carried out such as applied high voltage, the gap between collector and syringe pump, as well as the diameter and the feeding rate of the syringe pump. The feeding rate through the needle of syringe pump is designed to be varied between 0.01mL/min and 6mL/min. In addition, the high voltage supply is varied from 1kVDC to 30 kVDC by changing the input VDC from 1V to 30 V at 26 kHz. Finally, the gap was adjusted between syringe pump and the collector. The nanofibers formation was obtained via using proper parameters: the feeding rate value of 0.07 mL/min, the gap width value of 11 cm and high tension was 14 kVDC. However, bead's structure was obtained at the values higher than 0.07mL/min which indicates that nanofibers could be formed in the system based on the selected parameters. This project opens the way to low-cost high-performance lab made electrospinning as compared with commercial electrospinning nanofibers systems.
