Internal model startup control for VSC-LCC based hybrid pseudo bipolar HVDC system

The startup procedures of VSC-LCC hybrid HVDC system involves the cooperative control between the converter stations, which put forward higher request for the closed-loop dynamic performance and robustness of the converter control system. The structure and parameters of the internal model controller are deduced based on the internal model of the converter station, then the cooperative startup control strategy is established. Finally, the electromagnetic transient simulation model is built. The results confirm that the internal model startup control designed could avoid the overvoltage and over current effectively during the startup procedures.
