Innovation And Finance In Latam Mining Companies

The purpose of this research document is to analyze a mining company of an emerging economy, which is the world leader in copper. For the analysis, the method of valuation of real options proposed by Stewart Myers (Myers S., 1984) was selected based on the valuation work options made by Fisher Black and Myron Scholes in 1973, which has been complemented by authors such as Merton and Cox. In the study, the main relevant aspects in the valuation of companies are developed, considering that it is a little diffused topic at an academic level in Peru.
