摘要
This study proposes a mobile content delivery scheme based on software defined protocol (SDP) for mobile users. A user requests a data set of blocks called chunks periodically in video services such as YouTube. In general, mobile communications such as LTE can be charged by the network service provider whereas public Wi-Fi is free. The proposed scheme recognizes whether the network is Wi-Fi or not. If the network is Wi-Fi, the user requests the large chunks with a single request. In this manner, the mobile user can reduce the data cost. Therefore, the proposed content delivery scheme based on software defined protocol is expected to be useful for mobile users.
