摘要
Based on the panel data of 31 provinces between 1998 and 2011, this paper established static and dynamic panel data model to analyze the correlation between fire risk and the variables of GDP, urbanization rate, college population rate and industrialisation rate from the perspective of social and economic development. According to the research: GDP, urbanization rate, college population rate, and industrialization rate have a significant positive correlation with fire risk. The research also found that issues affecting fire risk have significant time effect and regional difference, indicating that specific regions or periods might relate to higher fire risk. Considering the inertia effect of fire risk, to adapt dynamic panel data would be more appropriate since it can take all influencing factors of fire risk into account. At the end of the paper, related advice and suggestions are provided based on the research.
