Abstract
The study aimed to discuss rural education in the Amazon context from the Pedagogy of Alternation (PA), proposing an effective sharing between study and pracfice: school fime and community fime. The research focused on the training of agricultural technicians at the Escola Familia Agricola (EFA), in Porto Nacional and consisted of a qualitative investigation that used documentary analysis and literature review. The research data were part of a more comprehensive survey, carried out in 2015 using the methodology of oral history. The specific objectives contemplated the Amazonian context of education in / in the field, discussing the AP associated with the pedagogical work of EFA, as well as the analysis of narratives of parents, students and professionals about the teaching and learning process in the AP, in the Technical course in Agriculture. The results indicate that EFA has contributed, for more than two decades, to the improvement of the technical quality of agricultural professionals.
