Abstract
Attempts have been made to measure the activity in irradiated natural Ni material induced by a-particles in the energy range 10-40 MeV followed by stack foil activation technique. Activity induced has been determined through the cross-sections obtained from various reactions for Ni-58(alpha, p)Cu-61, Ni-58(alpha, pn)Cu-60, Ni-60(alpha, p2n)Cu-61, Ni-60(alpha, n)Zn-63, Ni-60(alpha, 2n)Zn-62,Ni-61 (alpha, 3n)Zn-62 and Ni-61(alpha, 2n)Zn-63 in alpha+Ni-nat interaction at different beam energies has been found to vary from 10-26 microns.
