Abstract
•Anticorrosion performance of anodized AA7B04 in acid NaCl environments was investigated.•EIS and SKP were used to monitor corrosion process during salt spray test and immersion test.•The influences of sealing and exposure conditions on anticorrosion performance were analyzed.•Both unsealed and sealed anodic films have self-sealing and autocatalytic processes.•Immersion test is more aggressive than salt spray test when acid electrolyte is applied.
