摘要
Obstructive symptoms are one of the most common causes of hospitalizations among patients with stricturing inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). This may occur in patients with native or post-operative anatomy and patients with inflammatory or fibrotic strictures. Current anti-fibrotic treatments are limited to mechanical treatments via endoscopic through-the-scope balloon dilations, which have been shown to be efficacious and safe in improving obstructive symptoms. We aim to assess the outcomes of serial dilations in patients with IBD-related gastrointestinal strictures.
