摘要
This article's main goal is to analyze the actions of the public power during the COVID-19 pandemic from the perspective of the indigenous movement in the state of Amazonas. It explores the main consequences of this scenario to the State action in relation to the indigenous issue, currently. It discusses the challenges of originary peoples facing the pandemic, the struggle for land and public health rights. From the analysis of remote interviews (via smartphone) and speech analysis (using the tag/word cloud technique) it was accomplished the interpretation of expressions used to describe the undignified treatment towards the indigenous peoples of Brazil by agents of the public sector at the initial stages of the pandemic, preceding the peak (April May 2020). The aforementioned agents base their actions on a project of the ruling classes and indigenous peoples are deeply affected by their absence. The rolling-back and denial of their rights represents an invitation for the worsening of conflicts to their breaking point, both in ancestral land and as in urban spaces of more recent occupation.
