Abstract
•Three lauryl ether sulfate-based anionic SAILs were synthesized and characterized.•Physicochemical properties of three anionic SAILs and SLES were determined and analyzed.•Foaming performances of three anionic SAILs and SLES were determined using Ross-Miles methods.•DFT calculations were used to analyze the structure effect of SAILs on foaming performances.
