Gender Differences In Vein Stenting

Studies show significant impact of gender on vascular conditions and outcomes. With vein stent placement emerging as an efficacious and safe treatment for proximal venous outflow obstruction (PVOO) in iliofemoral veins, it remains unclear how gender might impact results. This study compares male and female cohorts that underwent venogram, intravascular ultrasound, and vein stent placement for chronic PVOO.
