Acid treated crystalline graphitic carbon nitride with improved efficiency in photocatalytic ethanol oxidation under visible light

摘要
•CGCN (Crystalline g-C3N4) was obtained by g-C3N4 treatment in salts melt.•CGCN shows significant increase of activity in the ethanol photooxidation.•Acid treatment of CGCN (AT-CGCN) leads to further increase of photoactivity.•AT-CGCN photoactivity is two orders of magnitude higher compared to initial g-C3N4.•Obtained AT-CGCN shows higher stability over the untreated one.
