Oil-source rock analysis and metallogenic significance of the palaeo-oil reservoir in the Qinglong antimony deposit, South China

•The geochemical characteristics of the newly discovered palaeo-oil reservoir near Qinglong antimony deposit are reported.•The palaeo-oil reservoir was derived from the Devonian oil-source rocks.•Antimony mineralization is related to the palaeo-oil reservoir.
