Benchmark polynomials for the porosity dependence of elastic moduli and conductivity of partially sintered ceramics

摘要
•Computer-generated microstructures based on close random packings of monosized spheres are densified by inflation / overlap.•Numerical results are given for the porosity dependences of elastic moduli and conductivity.•Polynomial fits and parameters are given as benchmarks for the effective properties of partially sintered ceramics.•Knowledge of the initial porosity (bulk density of the powder compact before sintering) makes the prediction more accurate.•The benchmark relations agree remarkably well with experimental data for real partially sintered materials.
