Effect Of Ceramic Coatings Plasma Sprayed With Transition Metal Oxides On The Reduction Of Nox Emission
PRZEMYSL CHEMICZNY(2021)
Abstract
Natural gas was burned at 520-720 degrees C in a cylindrical combustion chamber contg. a ceramic catalyst element with a plasma coating based on V2O5, MnO2 or CeO2. The compn. of exhaust gases was tested before and after the catalytic unit. The catalytic impact of the plasma-sprayed oxides on the CO oxidn. and NOx redn. was obsd. The largest, 67% decrease in NOx emission was achieved in the presence of a catalyst based on MnO2.
