摘要
Two pentanuclear {Ln(3)(III)Cr(2)(III)} clusters and the corresponding diamagnetic substituents-{Ln(3)(III) Al-2(III)) were synthesized and characterized with the formulas of {Et3NH[Ln(3)TM(2)(OH)(6)(piv)(10)(H2O)(2)]) (Hpiv = pivalic acid; TM = Cr-III, Ln = Ho-III (1), Er-III (2); TM = Al-III, Ln = Ho-III (3), Er-III (4)). In complexes 1-4, five metal ions make up a triangular bipyramidal configuration. Dominant Cr-III center dot center dot center dot Er-III and/or Er-III center dot center dot center dot Er-III ferromagnetic interactions were displayed in 2 and 4, and effective antibacterial activities against E. coli and S. aureus were detected in 1-4. The ferromagnetic molecular-based magnets are the most promising substitutes of clinical antibiotics, and this study will provides a fundamental research for the development of antibacterial drugs.
