Abstract
Background and Aims: Methodical possibilities for assessing genotypic variation in the genes implicated in dyslipidemias' pathogenesis, research and/or diagnostics vary. In this context, we sought a methodology which would be accurate, robust, cost-effective and flexible. Based on our previous experience from immunogenetics, we adopted MassArray technology for parallel determination of six single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in four genes, namely Apolipoprotein(Apo)B, ApoE, ApoC1 and Low-Density Lipoprotein Receptor(LDLR).
