Location awareness becomes a main demanded function of mobile devices, GNSS is practically used to acquire satellite signal and determine their location. In this paper, an innovative method, called LLE (Location Low Energy) will be introduced. Two practical solutions for different purposes of low energy GNSS applications will be presented in the paper. The first one is aiming to the requirement of location awareness in daily life on portable or wearable devices. Through the prediction of user's behaviors, the algorithm will be able to guarantee a positioning result always within 50-m accuracy and reduce the power consumption at the same time. The power consumption is target to 15% with respect to traditional fully operational working in all-day-long always-location scenario.The second one is focusing on the low-power solution with 1-Hz updating rate on the wearable devices. The receiver will keep 1-Hz output and dynamically change the working period according to the status of signal strength and the dynamic of receiver. The positioning performance is most the same with the continuously tracking mode. The power consumption is only about 40% under the open-sky scenario in jogging mode with respect to the traditional continuously tracking method.
