摘要

•The problem of coating cracking caused by BCC phase in HEA was solved by adding CeO2 powder.•The electrochemical corrosion of HEA coating was pitting corrosion, and the cracks would aggravate the pitting corrosion.•CeO2 played a critical role in refining the grain structure and improving the stability of passive film.
